Following the recent Tectonic exploit, the Cronos Foundation temporarily halted validators, effectively freezing the network, and restored the chain to its pre-exploit state.

Block production resumed on August 30 from block 90,896,189, effectively replacing more than 10,000 previously produced blocks. Cronos noted that RPC providers and other infrastructure services could require additional time to fully recover.

How Tatum responded

The rollback meant that previously processed blockchain data no longer matched the new canonical Cronos chain.

Our infrastructure team responded immediately.

Tatum restored access to Cronos and started replaying the affected blockchain data from block 90,896,188, bringing our infrastructure back in sync with the recovered network.

Tatum’s Cronos RPC, Data API, and related services are back online. Developers can query and build on Cronos through Tatum again.
