Katana RPC Nodes - Fast and Reliable
Explore Katana Chain, an EVM-compatible blockchain built for fast and efficient decentralized applications. Build scalable and cost-effective solutions using its RPC gateway.

RPC Gateway
Build on Katana using Tatum's RPC Gateway for fast, reliable, and cost-efficient blockchain operations with infrastructure designed for production workloads.
Use fee estimation to optimize transaction costs, leverage smart contract tooling for Ethereum-compatible development, and follow quick connect guidance to start sending Katana RPC calls immediately.
Data API
Access Katana data through Tatum's unified APIs to support pricing, analytics, and risk-aware application flows.
Get token exchange rates for token and fiat valuation, and check malicious addresses to help detect risky counterparties before executing sensitive actions.
Notifications
Receive webhook notifications for events on Katana so backend systems react immediately to on-chain activity.
Explore notification subscription types to monitor incoming and outgoing transaction events and power alerts, automations, and operational dashboards.
Frequently asked questions
Connect to Tatum's Katana RPC Gateway using this endpoint: katana-mainnet.gateway.tatum.io.
Tatum's RPC Gateway provides discovery endpoints to help explore available functionality:
/llms.txt: Access AI context and documentation for the network/_methods: Discover supported interfaces and RPC methods for the network
Credits are consumed based on the complexity and resource requirements of each Katana RPC method:
- 2 credits are consumed for Standard RPC methods (most common operations)
- 5 credits are consumed for the
eth_callmethod - 50 credits are consumed for Debug and Trace methods
When using the Tatum REST API or SDK with Katana, authenticate requests with an API key using one of these methods:
- X-API-Key in header (Recommended): Pass the key in the
x-api-keyheader - Authorization Header (Bearer): Use
authorization: bearer {YOUR_API_KEY} - Authorization Header (Basic): Use HTTP Basic Authentication
For detailed guidance and best practices, see the Authentication & Security documentation.
Get API keys in the Tatum Dashboard. Each free account includes two API keys - one for Mainnet and one for Testnet.
