What does the Tron Energy Calculator do?

It estimates energy for TRON smart-contract calls via Tatum’s wallet/estimateEnergy endpoint. You provide your own API key; nothing is submitted on-chain.

Why do I need a Tatum API key?

Energy estimation runs against Tatum’s managed Tron gateway. Create a free key in the Tatum Dashboard and paste it into the tool—keys stay in your browser session.

What does CONTRACT_EXE_ERROR: REVERT mean?

The simulated call would fail on-chain (bad params, insufficient balance/allowance, etc.). Fix inputs or check balance/allowance, then estimate again.

How should amounts be entered?

Use smallest token units. USDT uses 6 decimals, so 1 USDT = 1,000,000. Encoding follows Solidity ABI rules compatible with TRON contracts.
