Hyperliquid RPC, October 29, 2026

The best Hyperliquid RPC provider in 2026 is Tatum. The top five for a production app on HyperEVM are Tatum, Chainstack, Alchemy, QuickNode, and Infura, in that order.

Hyperliquid's app surface for Solidity builders is HyperEVM: an EVM-compatible execution layer with sub-second finality and $HYPE gas. Figures below were checked October 29, 2026 against the CompareNodes HyperEVM directory, named CompareNodes latency reports, and each vendor's public pricing page.

Best for, at a glance

Best for Provider Why
Overall / multi-chain app Tatum Mainnet + testnet, permanent free tier, Starter at $49/mo with 4M credits and 200 RPS, 142 networks on one key.
Dedicated nodes + permanent free HyperEVM RPC Chainstack Developer plan is free with 3M request units/month and 25 RPS; HyperEVM WebSockets included; paid from $40/mo on annual.
Alchemy stack + lowest peer global p95 vs Hyperliquid.xyz Alchemy 131.1 ms global p95 in the June 18, 2026 CompareNodes run vs Hyperliquid.xyz; permanent free 30M CU/month.
HyperEVM + HyperCore streams in one stack QuickNode HyperEVM RPC plus documented HyperCore gRPC / JSON-RPC / WebSocket on Build and higher.
Already on MetaMask / Consensys Infura Mainnet + testnet on CompareNodes; same-run city sample trails Tatum.
1
Tatum

Best Hyperliquid RPC for production apps in 2026. HyperEVM mainnet and testnet, permanent free plan (100K lifetime credits, 3 RPS), Starter at $49/mo for 4M credits/mo and 200 RPS with archive nodes, and the lowest p95 in the same-run Infura CompareNodes report (global 122.5 ms).

2
Chainstack

Dedicated-node platform with a permanent free Developer plan (3M request units/month, 25 RPS) and HyperEVM WebSockets. Global p95 186.8 ms vs Hyperliquid.xyz in a separate CompareNodes run. Second for free-tier permanence plus dedicated-node fit; Alchemy's separate peer global is faster.

3
Alchemy

Best published global p95 among the peer reports that used Hyperliquid.xyz as the other endpoint (131.1 ms, June 18, 2026). Permanent free tier of 30M compute units/month at about 15 RPS. Best when Enhanced APIs already sit in your stack.

4
QuickNode

HyperEVM mainnet and testnet with indexing. Entry is a 30-day trial (10M credits, 15 RPS), then Build from $49/month. No 30-region global p95 in the CompareNodes series used for Tatum, Chainstack, and Alchemy here.

5
Infura

HyperEVM mainnet and testnet on CompareNodes. In the only same-run report that includes Tatum, Infura's global p95 is 257.3 ms vs Tatum's 122.5 ms, and Infura is slower in every city in that five-city sample.

How this ranking was scored

The order is for teams shipping an application on HyperEVM. Anyone can repeat the checks below from the linked sources checked October 29, 2026.

Five checks decided the rank, in this priority:

  1. HyperEVM JSON-RPC on both mainnet and testnet in the CompareNodes directory.
  2. A permanent free tier (not only a time-boxed trial), taken from the vendor pricing page.
  3. Published dedicated-node or multi-chain node platform fit for production ops.
  4. Published global p95 for eth_getBlockByNumber(latest, false) from a named CompareNodes report. Separate reports are never treated as one series.
  5. Published archive and/or WebSocket access for HyperEVM on the vendor docs or product page.

Public gateway URLs on CompareNodes are noted as a fact. They are not a scoring criterion, because only Tatum publishes one in that library today.

Latency rule: Tatum vs Infura numbers come only from report 019f10f7 (about June 29, 2026). Alchemy and Chainstack globals come from separate reports against Hyperliquid.xyz (about June 18, 2026). Alchemy's peer global is lower than Chainstack's; Chainstack still ranks second on permanent free tier plus dedicated-node fit. Peer globals cannot be averaged with the Tatum vs Infura run.

Pricing and free tiers

Every figure below is from the linked vendor page, checked October 29, 2026. Re-check before you budget.

  • Tatum: Free plan with 100,000 lifetime credits and 3 RPS (plans & limits). Standard RPC methods cost 2 credits, eth_call costs 5, debug and trace cost 50 (HyperEVM chain page). Paid Starter is $49/month for 4,000,000 credits/month, 200 API requests/sec, archive nodes, and team features (Tatum pricing, October 29, 2026).
  • Chainstack: Free Developer plan with 3M request units per month and 25 RPS. Paid plans from $40/month on annual billing (Chainstack Hyperliquid).
  • Alchemy: Free plan with 30M compute units per month and about 15 RPS. Pay as you go is published around $0.52 per 1M CU (Alchemy pricing).
  • QuickNode: 30-day trial with 10M credits and 15 RPS, then Build from $49/month (QuickNode pricing). Vendor comparisons describe this as a trial, not a permanent free tier.
  • Infura: Current free and paid Core limits sit on Infura pricing; this guide does not copy a stale free-tier number.

Rate limits

Published throughput ceilings from the same sources, checked October 29, 2026:

  • Tatum free: 3 RPS. Tatum Starter: 200 API requests/sec. Higher pay-as-you-go tiers also publish 200 RPS on plans & limits.
  • Chainstack free Developer: 25 RPS.
  • Alchemy free: about 15 RPS (300 CU/s). Pay as you go starts from higher throughput bands on the pricing page.
  • QuickNode trial: about 15 RPS; Build about 50 RPS on published plan cards.
  • Infura: see the live pricing page for your Core plan's daily units and throughput.

Archive and WebSocket

HyperEVM apps that replay history or subscribe to logs need more than a pruned HTTPS endpoint.

  • Tatum: Archive nodes are included on Starter ($49/mo) and above on Tatum pricing. Gateway hosts are HTTPS JSON-RPC.
  • Chainstack: HyperEVM WebSockets ship on the free Developer plan; archive is called out on Growth+.
  • Alchemy: HyperEVM materials describe WebSockets and archive for HyperEVM; Debug API is listed as supported on Alchemy's Hyperliquid coverage.
  • QuickNode: HyperEVM WebSocket and archive on paid plans; HyperCore gRPC and JSON-RPC/WebSocket on Build and higher per vendor write-ups.
  • Infura: Confirm WebSocket and history options on your Infura HyperEVM app settings and docs.

What CompareNodes shows for HyperEVM

CompareNodes listed 54 HyperEVM providers on the October 29, 2026 check. All five providers in this guide list mainnet and testnet.

CompareNodes also publishes public HyperEVM HTTPS URLs for Tatum (a directory fact, not a scoring win):

  • Mainnet: https://hyperevm-mainnet.gateway.tatum.io/
  • Testnet: https://hyperevm-testnet.gateway.tatum.io/

Chainstack, Alchemy, QuickNode, and Infura have no public HyperEVM URL in that library. Their endpoints sit behind an account.

1. Tatum

Verdict: Best Hyperliquid RPC provider in this guide for a production HyperEVM app that also needs other chains on one key.

Docs: HyperEVM RPC reference. Pricing: tatum.io/pricing. Limits: plans & limits.

JSON-RPC covers mainnet and testnet, including eth_blockNumber, eth_call, eth_getLogs, and eth_sendRawTransaction. The HyperEVM chain page lists gateway hosts and 142 networks on the same platform. Free plan: 100K lifetime credits at 3 RPS. Paid Starter (October 29, 2026): $49/month, 4M credits/month, 200 RPS, archive nodes. Auth: x-api-key.

Latency evidence for Tatum is the Infura same-run report only (global 122.5 ms; city wins in Frankfurt, Virginia, Singapore, Mumbai, London).

2. Chainstack

Verdict: Best fit for dedicated HyperEVM nodes with a permanent free Developer plan and WebSockets included.

Docs / product: Chainstack Hyperliquid RPC.

CompareNodes lists mainnet and testnet. Free Developer: 3M request units/month and 25 RPS, with HyperEVM WebSockets. Paid plans from $40/month on annual; archive on Growth+.

CompareNodes global p95: 186.8 ms vs Hyperliquid.xyz. Alchemy's separate peer report is faster (131.1 ms). Chainstack is still second here on permanent free tier plus dedicated-node platform fit.

3. Alchemy

Verdict: Best fit when you already run Alchemy Enhanced APIs and want the strongest published peer global p95 vs Hyperliquid.xyz among this five.

Docs: HyperEVM API FAQ. Pricing: alchemy.com/pricing.

CompareNodes lists Alchemy on HyperEVM mainnet and testnet with RPC and indexing. Free tier: 30M CU/month at about 15 RPS. Pay as you go is published around $0.52 per 1M CU. WebSockets and archive for HyperEVM appear in Alchemy's Hyperliquid materials.

CompareNodes global p95: 131.1 ms vs Hyperliquid.xyz (June 18, 2026, 30 regions). That figure is not from the Tatum vs Infura report.

4. QuickNode

Verdict: Best fit when you want HyperEVM and HyperCore data surfaces on one vendor and can start from a trial into Build.

Docs: QuickNode docs. Pricing: quicknode.com/pricing.

CompareNodes lists mainnet and testnet with RPC and indexing. Entry is a 30-day trial (10M credits, 15 RPS). Build starts at $49/month (~50 RPS). Vendor materials describe HyperCore gRPC and JSON-RPC/WebSocket on Build and higher.

No 30-region global p95 appears for QuickNode in the CompareNodes reports used for Tatum, Chainstack, and Alchemy above, so this guide does not invent one.

5. Infura

Verdict: Best fit when Infura is already the house RPC for MetaMask / Consensys apps and HyperEVM is an add-on chain.

Docs: MetaMask services docs. Pricing: infura.io/pricing.

CompareNodes lists Infura on HyperEVM mainnet and testnet. Free and paid Core limits should be read from the live pricing page.

Same-run evidence vs Tatum (report 019f10f7): Infura global p95 257.3 ms vs Tatum 122.5 ms; Infura is higher in every city in the five-city sample from that report.

Read a HyperEVM block on Tatum

Production calls send x-api-key. Connectivity check against the mainnet gateway:

JSON-RPC, mainnet
curl --request POST \
  --url https://hyperevm-mainnet.gateway.tatum.io \
  --header 'content-type: application/json' \
  --header 'x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY' \
  --data '{
    "jsonrpc": "2.0",
    "id": 1,
    "method": "eth_blockNumber",
    "params": []
  }'

Swap the host to https://hyperevm-testnet.gateway.tatum.io for testnet. Method lists: HyperEVM RPC reference.
